Nathaniel R. Russell – Associate
Nate is a 2005 graduate of Dalhousie Law School, and was called to the British
Columbia Bar in 2006. His present practice is comprised of civil litigation and
family law matters, and he has appeared as counsel on hearings and trials in
Provincial Court, Supreme Court and Federal Court. Before joining Kahn Zack
Ehrlich Lithwick, Nate articled at an immigration law practice, and subsequently
practiced for two years at a general law practice where he worked with an
emphasis on family law matters, and also on a broad variety of civil matters
including wrongful dismissal, wills variation claims, and commercial disputes.
In addition to his courtroom experience, Nate has experience preparing marriage
agreements and uncontested divorce applications.
Nate was raised in Vancouver, and graduated from Simon Fraser University in 1998
where he studied Communications, English and History. His early interest in
magazine publishing led him to study print design and journalism, and he holds a
diploma in Publishing Technologies. Prior to his legal career, Nate worked for
several years as a freelance writer and communications consultant for internet
companies and for CBC Television.
Outside of the courtroom or office, Nate enjoys spending time with his close family and keeps fit in the gym or by playing Ultimate Frisbee on the field.
