Isabel Stramwasser - Associate
Isabel graduated from McGill University Faculty of Arts in 1995 and from the
University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2002. In 2003, she articled with the
National Judicial Institute, a school for judges in Ottawa. Isabel was called to
the bar of Ontario in 2003 and the bar of British Columbia in 2004. She
practiced litigation for four years before joining Kahn Zack Ehrlich Lithwick LLP in
January 2009.
Isabel practices family law and corporate/ commercial litigation. She acts on
behalf of clients in the British Columbia Supreme Court and Provincial Court and
has resolved disputes through negotiation, mediation, settlement conferences and
litigation. Isabel is dedicated to solving her clients' problems efficiently and
cost-effectively while maintaining the highest standards of practice.
Before becoming a lawyer, Isabel worked in international development, including
for the United Nations. She also worked in translation, including for Government
Canada. Isabel has authored and co-authored half a dozen articles on legal
matters in English and French, including a brochure for the French-speaking
public available in courthouses around British Columbia and including continuing
education materials for lawyers and judges.
